Selecting the Right Materials
When designing a Paver you need to decide what kind of traffic you will have on you paver.
If the paver is going to be a walkway and only have light loads on it, a smaller depth paver is the best way to go. However, if you are going to have a heavier load on the paver then a more heavy duty paver is in order.
Also remember that you are putting the paver at your home so be sure the pavers that you select are something that you are able to live with and enjoy, because once they are in the ground they are expensive to replace, So shop around a little. It is also a good idea to talk to people that already have pavers at there own home and do some research.
As for selecting plant material if there is none around the paver project. Do this last, It is OK to have an idea of the size and shape of the plants around the walkway, but select the exact plants last. By doing this you will not limit the choices you have.
